You're Not Alone

Does This Sound Familiar?

You woke up one morning and something was terribly wrong. Maybe you thought you were having a stroke. You went to the ER, got diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, received steroids and antivirals — and were essentially sent home with little guidance and told to wait.

That waiting is agonizing. Every time you look in the mirror, every conversation, every photo — it's a reminder. And conventional medicine has run out of answers for you. That's exactly why you're here.

  • One side of your face drooping or sagging
  • Can't fully close your eye on one side
  • Your smile looks uneven or you can't smile at all
  • Twitching, tingling, or numbness in your face
  • Ear pain or sensitivity to loud sounds
  • You were told to "wait and see" for 2–6 months

We Know How You Feel — And We Know We Can Help

Dr. Jafari has helped hundreds of patients recover from Bell's Palsy — including cases where conventional medicine offered no further options. His neurological specialty and Nanopuncture® training give him tools most practitioners simply don't have.

The Treatment Process

How Our Bell's Palsy Treatment Works

A proven, systematic approach — not guesswork. Here's exactly what to expect from your first call to full recovery.

01

Free Initial Consultation

Meet Dr. Jafari in person at no cost. You'll discuss your symptoms, how long you've had them, your medications, and your recovery goals. There's no pressure and no commitment — just an honest conversation about whether and how we can help.

Zero cost. Zero obligation.
02

Detailed Assessment & Custom Plan

At your intake appointment, Dr. Jafari performs a comprehensive assessment to identify the root cause and severity of your nerve damage. He then creates a specific treatment plan tailored to your case — acute, chronic, or somewhere in between.

Personalized to your exact case.
03

Active Treatment & Symptom Resolution

Acupuncture sessions target the facial nerve directly — reducing inflammation, stimulating nerve regeneration, and reactivating dormant facial muscles. Acute cases typically begin 2–3x per week. Chronic cases start at 1x per week.

Most patients see improvement within 2–3 weeks.
04

Transitional Care

As your recovery progresses (typically after 8–12 visits), treatment frequency decreases from weekly to biweekly to monthly. This transitional phase locks in your progress and prevents regression.

Fewer visits as you recover.
05

Ongoing Maintenance (Optional)

After full recovery, many patients choose occasional maintenance sessions to keep the nervous system strong and prevent recurrence. This step is entirely optional — and most patients are thrilled to simply be symptom-free.

Most patients need no ongoing care.

Acute vs. Lingering Bell's Palsy — We Treat Both

Acute Bell's Palsy

Treatment started within 1 week of onset

  • Frequency: 2–3x per week (First 2–4 weeks)
  • Prognosis: Excellent — most achieve near-complete recovery
  • Start ASAP — early treatment dramatically improves outcomes

Lingering Facial Paralysis

Onset 2+ months ago with incomplete recovery

  • Frequency: 1–2x per week (First 8–12 weeks)
  • Prognosis: Good — significant improvement still achievable
  • Don't give up — it's not too late to recover

Bell's Palsy

"After only three treatments, most people can't even tell there is anything wrong with my face. It's been 4 weeks since my diagnosis and I almost have a hard time seeing the slight muscle weaknesses that still exist. If you find yourself diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, my recommendation is to move quickly! See your doctor, get your meds, and then get in to see Dr. Jafari for treatments."

Bell's Palsy (During Pregnancy)

"I came to Dr. Jafari when I was 33 weeks pregnant with twins and developed Bell's Palsy. Given my situation, I was very limited in what treatments I could safely pursue. Dr. Jafari was incredibly careful, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The results were remarkable — I recovered far faster than I ever expected."

Dr. Kamron Jafari, L.Ac., DAOM

Licensed Acupuncturist & Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

My goal every day in the clinic is to help patients like you find solutions for complex, chronic conditions — especially those who have been told there's nothing more that can be done.

My areas of specialty are women's health, neurological conditions, and pain management. In women's health, I work with patients on gynecological issues like fertility, pcos, fibroids, and endometriosis. For pain management, I treat chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, and workout recovery — with a special interest in orthopedics and sports medicine developed from years as an athlete myself.

I trained with Dr. Clayton Shiu, one of the foremost specialists in neurological acupuncture in New York City, where I studied Nanopuncture® — a system that pushes the boundaries of recovery from even the toughest neuro-related conditions. I have also refined my skills at The Roy & Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center and Simms-Mann Venice Family Clinic.

FAQ

Common Questions About Our Bell's Palsy Treatment

Get the answers you need before booking your free consultation

Can acupuncture really help Bell's Palsy?

Absolutely. Acupuncture has a long, documented history of helping Bell's Palsy patients recover — including cases where steroids and antivirals weren't enough. The mechanism is well understood: acupuncture reduces inflammation around the facial nerve, stimulates nerve fiber regeneration, and reactivates the facial muscles that have gone dormant due to loss of nerve signaling. Over 75% of our Bell's Palsy patients experience significant recovery.

How soon after my diagnosis should I start treatment?

As soon as possible. Early treatment (within the first 1–2 weeks of onset) dramatically improves outcomes. The nerve is still in an acute inflammatory state, and acupuncture is most effective at this stage. That said, if your Bell's Palsy has been lingering for months, don't give up — we've had results with chronic cases too. But don't wait if you're newly diagnosed.

How quickly will I see results?

Most patients notice a meaningful shift within 2–3 weeks of starting treatment. Some see improvement after just a few sessions. One of our patients famously noted that after only 3 treatments, most people couldn't tell anything was wrong with her face. More complex or chronic cases may take longer, but progress is typically visible within the first month.

How often do I need to come in for Bell's Palsy?

For acute cases (within the first few weeks of onset), we typically recommend 2–3 sessions per week for the first 2–4 weeks. This intensive initial phase is important for getting the most out of early treatment. As you improve, frequency decreases — moving to weekly, then biweekly, then monthly. Chronic (lingering) cases usually begin at 1–2x per week.

What if my Bell's Palsy has been there for months or years and hasn't fully healed?

This is called 'chronic' Bell's Palsy, and we see it frequently. Patients in this category typically deal with facial tightness & involuntary facial movements, also known as synkinesis. For these cases, our treatment strategy differs significantly from that of acute Bell's Palsy, and we often collaborate with facial therapists to provide a multi-faceted approach that yields better results. We've helped patients who were 6–12 months post-diagnosis achieve substantial improvement. A free consultation will give us a much better sense of your prognosis.

Does acupuncture for Bell's Palsy hurt?

No. The needles used in acupuncture are extremely fine — much thinner than medical needles — and the vast majority of patients find treatment relaxing, even pleasant. You may feel a mild sensation (often described as a dull ache, tingling or warmth), but this is typically brief and indicates the treatment is working. Most patients are surprised at how comfortable it is.

Can I combine acupuncture with the steroids/antivirals my doctor prescribed?

Yes, absolutely. Acupuncture works alongside conventional treatments, not against them. Think of steroids and antivirals as reducing the immediate immune attack, while acupuncture actively repairs and regenerates the nerve. The two approaches complement each other.

What makes Dr. Jafari qualified to treat Bell's Palsy specifically?

Dr. Jafari holds a DAOM — the highest post-graduate degree in Eastern Medicine, held by very few practitioners nationally. More importantly, he has a specific subspecialty in neurological acupuncture. He trained with Dr. Clayton Shiu in New York City, one of the foremost specialists in neurological acupuncture, where he studied Nanopuncture® — a system specifically designed to address nerve-related conditions. Bell's Palsy is a nerve condition, and treating it well requires this level of neurological expertise.
